INSOMNIA - THERE IS GROWING EVIDENCE THAT SHOWS AROMATHERAPY CAN BE EFFECTIVE FOR INSOMNIA. A Research Group at the Southampton Medical School published in September in the Journal of Complimentary and Alternative Medicine a placebo controlled study of Lavender as a safe effective treatment for mild insomnia. Aromatherapy Oils are absorbed through the skin and into the brain through the lining of the nose. They seem to affect the body's chemical messengers and Lavender may affect those chemical messengers involved in sleep thus helping insomnia. more...
